Quality Engineer
J371588 Cambridge East of England £35K - £40K / Year
Exciting opportunity for a Quality engineer to join a global medtech specialist and become a key component in the quality team. The successful candidate will support the Quality Department for all internal & external Quality, Environmental and Regulatory matters.Assisting with Quality & Environmental compliance, issues & reporting aspects of the Cambourne, Rugby and Ireland business units.
- This will initially be a an office based role working in a beautiful office in Cambourne.
- Monday to Friday with standard 7.5 hours per day.
- Once established there will be the option to have some hybrid working 2-3 days WFH.
Key Duties
Principal Elements
- Assist with maintaining the Integrated Management System in conjunction with relevant ISO compliances and maintain alignment with corporate guidelines/procedures.
- Competence with relevant process management tools, iGrafx/Signavio, (Flow Charter, Viewer, PIC, Opentext), and company planning/administration tools, SAP, CRM, Sharepoint
- Develop document management system architecture, including creation, control & updates.
- Assist with Complaint Management across all business groups.
- To assist with product and regulatory compliance issues and any required reporting and product registration, e.g. MHRA, HPRA, CE, UKCA, RoHS, CSA, SEMI, UL etc.
- Support IQS calibration lab to maintain ISO17025 accreditation.
- Manage and lead team on product safety recalls, FSCA/FCA's, CAPA, business improvement initiatives and Quality Team objectives.
- Involvement in Net Promoter Score (NPS), assisting with improving actions.
- Follow up Customer Perfect Order (CPO) open actions related to OTD, OC & EF.
- Provide Integrated Management System (Quality and Environmental) training for staff at induction and additional guidance where required.
- Communicate on quality matters at the business both internal and external.
- To assist customer facing departments with tender questionnaire information as required, related to Quality, Environment and Regulatory issues.
- Awareness of CAPA and 8D problem solving techniques.
- To assist development of problem solving skills and techniques throughout the business.
- Support the internal and supplier audit programs at group and local levels with internal and supplier audits where necessary. Control open audit point tracking and assist with open audit point closure.
- Support 3rd party audits where required.
- To help promote Environmental awareness throughout the company.
- To assist with waste reporting including WEEE according to the regulations.
- Encourage & promote LEAN, continuous improvement in all processes, products & people.
- Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.
