Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Exciting opportunity for a small animal vet to join a progressive and well established 2-site practice in the Cheshire area.

An exciting opportunity for a small animal vet to join a progressive and forward-thinking first opinion practice in the Cheshire area (just south of Manchester) has come up. This two-site multi vet practice is looking for a veterinary surgeon with ideally 12 months experience in small animal work, to join their growing and dedicated team. Established over 20 years ago, this modern, air-conditioned and well-equipped practice has grown to a team of 27, including 7 vets (soon to be 8) plus a friendly team of nurses, animal care assistants, receptionists and practice manager. They have a good amount of insured clients allowing for cases to be worked thoroughly. Facilities include X-ray, Ultrasound, ECG, in house lab, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical equipment and much more, allowing you to provide the highest level of care and the best outcome for your patients. The practice has their own on-site 24 hour emergency service available throughout the week; as well as providing continuing care for their hospitalised patients throughout the weekend. For you the vet, this means case continuity and knowing that your patient is in safe hands.

The successful applicant will benefit from an excellent work-life balance with a 4-day week, no OOH and a 1-in-5 weekend rota, allowing you to enjoy the surround areas of Cheshire. This is also the perfect opportunity for someone looking for career progression, with certificate study encouraged and funded and a varied caseload to enable this.
