Registered Veterinary Nurse Job in Southampton

Within our proficient team, we currently boast a Head Vet, a Senior Vet, and a Veterinary Surgeon, with 3 Veterinary Surgeons Our nursing ensemble includes a Head Nurse, a Deputy Head Nurse, five Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), one Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), and dedicated students. The clinical team benefits from the support and expertise of our Customer Experience Manager, alongside a team of six adept Customer Experience Co-ordinators.

The preferred work schedule offers flexibility, allowing for either a 4 or 5-day workweek, encompassing 8/10-hour shifts with a weekend rotation of 1 in 4.


Key Duties

  • Deliver exceptional care to our furry friends
  • Assist in surgical procedures with precision
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and operate radiographic scans
  • Monitor anesthesia for optimal patient safety
  • Ensure the comfort of patients in their accommodations
  • Lead informative nurse clinics for pet well-being
  • Provide support in clinically coaching student veterinary nurses

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom (UK)
  • Registered as a Veterinary Nurseon the RCVS

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred
