Rare Lead Vet Surgeon

A great opportunity to join a leading 24/7 Hospital as Lead Vet, Salary starts at £60,000 in Glenfield, Leicestershire.

A leading Tier 3, 24/7, Hospital is looking for a passionate and driven individual to join their team as Lead Veterinary Surgeon. You'll be joining a large team which includes certificate holding referral level services covering diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and small animal surgery. The hospital has all the equipment you would expect, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, a range of endoscopes, CT, ASIF and Synthes kits, TPLO/TTA/Tightrope, arthroscopy and Biomedtrix THR kits.

As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will collaborate with the second Lead Vet Surgeon to drive the practice's services and work closely with the management team. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring an exceptional client journey, focusing on clinical cases, leading and participating in site meetings, and mentoring associates on the new graduate scheme. In addition, you will manage a team of vets, contribute to vet diaries, and help run the hospital while handling your own clinical caseload.

To support you in your role, you will have the assistance of the Primary Care Clinical Director, Lead Clinical Director, HR and Operations Manager, and Practice Manager.


Key Duties

- Full-time is 4.5 day week.
- Dedicated night OOH vets.
- 1/4 Saturday mornings.
- 1/16 full Saturdays.
- 1/15 Sundays (paid extra: up to £650)
- No out of hours or night work.
- 15 minute consults.
