Veterinary Nurse

Our small animal practice in Barnet is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or final year student to join their nursing team!

Step into our purpose-built surgery, exemplifying industry-leading standards with cutting-edge facilities. Revel in the advanced equipment, featuring a full in-house lab, ultrasound capabilities, digital X-ray, and specially designed kennel areas for various species.

Join our dynamic team led by a seasoned professional, and become part of a group comprising 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 VCA, 1 Practice Manager, and 2 Receptionists. United by our love for pets and a shared commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare, we also prioritize providing a supportive working environment for every team member.

We are actively seeking an RVN with exceptional communication skills, proficient in all facets of general nursing. Whether you're an experienced professional, a newly qualified nurse, or a final-year student, your application is welcome and will be given due consideration.

This is a full-time role, spanning 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays. There are no OOH commitments or On-call, which offers an exceptional work/life balance.


Key Duties

  • Provide unmatched dedication to our cherished patients, delivering a level of care that exceeds expectations.
  • Assume a crucial role in surgical procedures, offering essential assistance and expertise.
  • Administer diagnostic testing and adeptly perform radiographic scans with precision.
  • Execute meticulous anaesthesia monitoring, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our patients throughout procedures.


Package and Benefits

  • Salary range between £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
  • 20 days annual leave + bank holidays (increases to 25 days after 2 years of service)
  • CPD allowance of £1000 per year and is full encouraged.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom (UK)
  • Registration with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse is mandatory.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dedication to continuous learning and development is a fundamental aspect we value.
