Veterinary Surgeon

Excellent opportunity to join a growing, proudly independent practice who have recently double in size thanks to a recently completed expansion and modernisation project.

Are you Liverpool based and looking for a nice, proudly independent, small animal practice offering real clinical freedom and the chance to build strong bonds with you clients? We are proud to be working with a practice offering just that! Having recently doubled in size, due to the completion of a brand new expansion project, giving way to a new spacious waiting area with separate cat and dog areas, 2 extra consult rooms, 3 new wards, (dog, cat and small furies), brand new lab and a lift going between all three floors, making it easier to transport those heavy and immobilised patients.

This expansion adds to what was already an impressive array of equipment. You'll also be working alongside a friendly team of 3+ vets and a dedicated team of nurses and receptionists, as well as visiting specialists in ultrasonography, orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. Given the experienced team and facilities, the practice are able to see a varied caseload, making this an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to progress their career.

There is a very competitive package on offer with a salary of up to £65k depending on experience, and you'll enjoy a good work life balance with a 4 day week (6:30pm finish time) and a share of the Saturday morning rota only. You will be given protected morning, lunch and afternoon breaks ensuring you never go long periods of time without chance to catch up and take a break.

Key Duties

  • Proudly independent 3 vet practice located just a short drive from Liverpool city centre
  • Recently undergone extensive expansion and modernisation, almost doubling in size
  • Friendly, experienced and close-knit team of 3 Vets, plus multiple RVNs and receptionists
  • Fun and supportive working environment with plenty of support to progress in your own area of clinical interest
  • 4-day week (6:30pm finish time)
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 8.30-1.30 pm
  • Protected morning, lunch and afternoon breaks
  • No OOH - provided by vetsnow
  • No Bank Holidays

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
  • All levels of experience considered from new graduate up to 15+ years
  • Friendly, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
