Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Excellent opportunity for a small animal vet to join a well established independent tier 3 hospital on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.

We are looking for a friendly and passionate small animal vet to join a well-established and well-equipped tier 3 hospital in the Harrogate area. Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National part, yet within an hour of Harrogate, York and Leeds, the location is perfect for those wanting a balance between fresh countryside air and access to Highstreet shops. Due to continued growth, this lovely team are looking for an additional vet to share their work with and the successful applicant will have the support to develop in their own area of interest, with a varied caseload, funding towards certificate study and the opportunity to work alongside a number of very experienced colleagues.

The hospital itself is equipped with everything you could need to provide the best outcome to your patients, including digital x-ray, video endoscopy, laparoscopic kit (including diathermy), fully integrated internal lab facilities, visiting MRI and CT scanners and separate dog, cat and isolation facilities. You will also have an excellent work/life balance to enjoy the surrounding countryside with a 4-day week and a good weekend rota.

To be considered for the role you will ideally have a minimum of 12 months post-graduation small animal experience, however, less will be considered. In return for your dedication to providing the highest level of care to your patients, you will receive an excellent package. Key Duties

  • Well established independently owned tier 3 hospital in North Yorkshire

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
  • Ideally you will have 12 months post-graduate small animal experience, although less will be considered
