Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse

J179603 North Somerset South West £19.00 - £22.00 / Hour

Prospect Health are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join an excellent client of ours based in Somerset on an ongoing basis.

• Start 2-4 weeks
• 3-5 days per week
• Shifts are: 08:30-17:00 and 09:30 - 18:00.

Responsibilities -

• Admitting patients for diagnostics procedures
• Receiving handovers form clinicians for admissions
• Placing IVC's, taking blood and completing hospital paperwork
• Receiving handovers back from recovery nurses
• Monitoring patients for the few hours following their procedures, feeding etc
• Preparing patients for discharges
• Some (more routine) discharges
• Preparing day patient area for following days admissions, restocking and cleaning
• Preparing paperwork for following day admissions
• Some use of PMS, but limited to charging of bloods and basic consumables, feeds etc

Day Rate

£19 - £22 per hour
