Dispensing Optician / Optical Assistant Vacancy, Ashtead, Independent Practice, base salary up to £35,000 for a qualified DO with experience and up to £31,000 for an experienced OA, full time, only 35.5 hours per week! Closed on Mondays & Sundays with an early finish at 3:30pm on Saturdays.

Superb Experienced Dispensing Optician or Experienced Optical Assistant role now available in an Independent practice! Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity offering up to £35,000 basic for an experienced DO and up to £31,000 for an experienced OA with only 35.5hours a week giving you the perfect family/work life balance. Bonus structure in place to earn more on top of the very generous salary! They are closed on Mondays and Sundays, allowing for a more work/life balance!

Working with this established and reputable employer you will be able to contribute both towards the enhanced clinical services offered by the practice and learn/develop more skills within Optics.

This opportunity also has the benefit of giving support to go onto becoming a CLO as well as an Optom if that is something you would want to do! This opportunity will also depend on what you can bring to the practice.

Having only 35.5hours to be worked weekly, this amazing offer also includes 21 days plus 8 days bank holiday with room to negotiate more days depending on 1st year of employment. Their is also free parking at the practice if you are driving and the train station is only a 15 minute walk to the practice!


Key Duties

• Customer care
• Dispensing to adults and children
• Doing CL teaches (training is offered for this key duty as well)
• Working hours from 9am - 5pm Tuesday - Friday and Saturdays ONLY 9am - 3:30pm

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience and dispensing to all levels for both a qualified Dispensing Optician & an Optical Assistant
Ideally be GOC registered as a Dispensing Optician, although as mentioned above, happy to consider an experienced Optical Assistant
Must have the right to work in the UK
