Veterinary Surgeon

A rare, unique opportunity has become available at a well-respected veterinary group in Bridgend, South Wales.

My client are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate veterinary surgeon to join their growing team. They are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with the practice committed to maximising a vets potential by offering their ideal work/life balance. You will be joining an incredibly versatile and experienced team who are headed by 5 young and forward-thinking clinical directors. The wider team consists of multiple certificate holders, with advanced practitioners in both small animal medicine and surgery. There are also team members being supported through their certificates with an array of disciplines such as cardiology and ECC.

The role offers a wide range of cases, with day-to-day duties that include surgical procedures, medical work-ups and routine consultations, but the nature of the role also means you will have chance to work on emergency cases too should you wish. Due to the experience of the team, and the hospital's own OOH team, there is excellent case continuity, with very little ever being referred out.

A successful applicant can expect to receive a remunerations package that exceeds the local average, with a salary of up to £60,000 expected. You will be entitled to 6.6 weeks annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays, as well as enhanced sick pay of 2 weeks full pay and 2 weeks half pay. CPD allowance is uncapped, with this being taken on a case-by-case basis. You will also benefit from your RCVS fees being covered, as well as one other professional membership. For applicant who are looking to make the move over to the south of Wales, there is also a generous relocation package on offer!
