National Sales Manager - UK Device Manufacturer

We're excited to partner with a long-standing client, a leading UK manufacturer of medical devices with an excellent existing business across the UK.

We're on the hunt for a dynamic and driven individual to lead and support their field sales team. In this vital role, you'll be the key point of contact between the sales team and leadership, ensuring seamless communication, strategic alignment, and business growth. If you're a proactive go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment and is ready to travel and contribute to expanding a successful UK business, this is the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impact.

You'll play a key role in supporting and managing the UK field sales team, acting as the main contact for colleagues. Your responsibility includes delivering regular feedback, documentation, and reports to the Sales & Marketing Director and product managers.

You will lead an established team of 9 clinical sales reps across UK & Ireland.

This is a field-based role (at least 60%)-expect to spend 3 days a week in the field. You'll need to travel and stay overnight when required to drive business growth and hit revenue and profit targets. Be ready for last-minute travel and occasional international trips, including conferences and exhibitions, as directed by the Sales & Marketing Director.

Candidate would ideally be based around one of the following cities Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Leicester, Birmingham OR have great motorway access to cover National.

Key Duties

Main Duties
  • Responsible for the day to day sales management of the UK Salesforce (Incl ROI)
  • Reporting and Management Information
  • Manage UK Sales team activities to maximise performance to maintain current business and gain new business for the company.
  • Carry out effective & thorough appraisals for your direct reports through effective communication, planning, objective setting & monitoring to ensure that the key objectives set out by the business are met as part of continuous improvement.
  • Achievement of overall sales targets for the strategic range of products
  • UK Sales budget and control of UK Sales Operating expenses
  • Manage & quarterly sales meetings
  • Maintain Key contract relationships
  • Tender/Bid applications
  • Liaise with and support Products Managers
  • Assist with recruitment as necessary

Package and Benefits

  • Salary: 65K-80K + Bonus 20K
  • Pension 10% Employer
  • Company Car OR Car Allowance circa £650 per calendar month allowance

Key Skills and Qualifications

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • 3 years people management in Hospital device market
  • Proven track record of achievement
  • Direct tender experience
  • Ability to support existing NATIONAL team with circa 3 day travel expectation
