Are you a passionate vet seeking a new role? My client is looking for a new veterinary surgeon to join a thriving and progressive practice who have recently completed an expansion.
A rare and unique opportunity has become available at one of Worcester's most beloved practices.
Due to a brand new expansion, my client is seeking an extra vet to compliment a strong team of 6 veterinary surgeons. With an array of specialisms and interests within the team, the practice see a diverse caseload that can be tailored to suit a new vet's ambitions and career goals. You will also be supported by an experienced team of 6 RVN's, 2 SVN's and a whole host of non-clinical staff.
The practice itself has undergone a modernisation period, and along with the new extension they are ready to welcome in a new vet. The building holds 4 consultation rooms, a separate lab area and two operating theatres (one for routine procedures and one for orthopaedic work and complex soft tissue surgery). There is an array of high quality equipment, including a state-of-the-art 3D x-ray machine (the first of its kind in the UK), K-laser, flexible endoscope and 2 ultrasound machines. You will also have access to all the usual toys, as well as a full orthopaedic kit.
The role is one that is open to both full-time and part-time applicants. As a full-time applicant, you will work 40-hours and enjoy a weekend rota of 1 in 3, with any weekend work rewarded with time back in lieu. Your schedule will incorporate scheduled administration time, dedicated surgery days (more can be given to those with a keen interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery) and ward rounds. You will also be a part of a weekly "journal club", where you will share best practice and discuss cases with your team on any Sunday worked.
The successful applicant can expect to receive an exceptional salary of up to £75,000, with that figure potentially rising for certificate holders and advanced practitioners. You will be entitled to 28 holiday days, as well as 5 days paid CPD. For your CPD allowance, you will have a base amount of £1,500, however this is open to being increased should you wish to use your CPD for something that would benefit all parties.
