Peter Janes, Arncliffe Veterinary Centre Ltd.
Our practice has had a much higher than usual turnover of Vets this year (a retirement and emigration to Australia & USA). The last three veterinary surgeons we have recruited have all come through Prospect Health. This is despite our having offered the positions through other agencies and direct advertising in the usual journals ourselves.
We are very happy with all of our recruits and they are happy with us – round pegs in round holes!
We are not sure why the best applicants have all come through Prospect Health, other than that the staff there are very thorough and seem to spend large amounts of time talking to their clients, both ourselves as the employer and the veterinary surgeons looking for new positions, and seem to be very good at selecting the right candidate for the right position. This is I suspect an art rather than a science, but one that requires time and effort to perfect.
In particular Lauren Bingham has been very impressive, always pleasant and efficient and going the extra mile. I would rather like to poach her to run our practice, but suspect we cannot afford her. Failing that I would happily adopt her as another daughter, I could do with a positive, cheerful, efficient one!
